ATATURK'S PRINCIPLES AND HISTORY OF TURKISH REVOLUTION I-II COURSE

INFORMATION ON THE EXEMPTION EXAM APPLICATION

The 2026-2027 Academic Year Compulsory Ataturk's Principles and History of Turkish Revolution I-II Course Exemption Exam will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 14:00.

Note: This form will be open for applications between September 7-15, 2026. It will be closed for applications at 17:00 on the final application day. Applications submitted after the specified date and time will not be accepted.

Note: Information on the application form, such as Name, Surname, Student ID Number, Department/Program, and Vocational School/Faculty, must be filled out completely and accurately. Applications containing incomplete or incorrect information will be considered invalid.

Exam Scope and Evaluation Criteria

• Taking the exam is not compulsory; only newly enrolled students for the 2026-2027 academic year may take this exam, provided they complete the application form accurately and on time.

• The exam is evaluated out of 100 points.

• Students who score 60 and above will be exempt from the Ataturk's Principles and History of Turkish Revolution I-II courses. The score they obtain will replace the grade for these courses and will be included in the graduation Grade Point Average (GPA). Students who score below 60 are not exempt and are obligated to take these courses.

• Exemption procedures are conducted by the Student Affairs Office. Students must contact the Student Affairs Office regarding their exam results and exemption statuses.

• The exam covers all topics from the fall and spring semesters, including the final period and collapse of the Ottoman Empire, World War I and its consequences, the Armistice of Mudros and the occupations, the preparation period of the National Struggle and the congresses, the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), the War of Independence and its fronts, the Treaty of Lausanne, and post-Republic developments.
