Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Akdamar’s Co-Authored Study Published in Future Transportation.

A study titled “Risk Prioritization of LPG Fuel Use in Maritime Applications: An Experimental Data-Supported FMEA and Entropy-Weighted MCDM Framework”, co-authored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Akdamar, a faculty member of the Department of Maritime Business Administration, has been published in Future Transportation.

The study evaluates the use of LPG in maritime applications from the perspectives of emissions, energy performance, and safety, and analyzes 38 different risk types. The findings indicate that LPG use can reduce emissions; however, at higher usage ratios, fuel consumption and thermal efficiency should be carefully considered.
