Preference and Success Trend of Our Department According to 2026 YKS Placement Results

According to the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) placement results, the Department of Marine Engineering at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Maritime Faculty has maintained its strong academic standing and high level of preference, receiving substantial interest from prospective students.

Key indicators regarding the announced results are presented below:

• Ranked 5th among all state universities in Türkiye offering Marine Engineering undergraduate programs.

• Ranked as the department with the 4th highest base score among all undergraduate programs admitting students through the Quantitative (SAY) track within our university.

• Achieved a 100% occupancy rate for its 18-student quota.

• Significantly improved its minimum success ranking from 106,983 in 2025 to 87,196 in 2026, raising its base score from 393.46 to 426.44.
