Our Faculty Member Participates in a COST Action Meeting

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Erçetin, a faculty member of our Department, participated in the 3rd General Meeting of the European Materials Informatics Network (EuMINe), hosted by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania.

Within the scope of the COST Action:

1. Key insights were presented from the research article entitled “AI-Driven Image Processing for Microstructure and Surface Characterization: A Systematic Review of Methods, Materials, and Applications,” published in the SCI-Expanded-indexed, Q1 journal Archives of Computational Methods in Engineering, which ranks within the top 1% of its field.
2. Findings from the research entitled “Microstructure Analysis of Mg Alloy Using Image Processing and Computer Vision Techniques,” conducted in Bosnia and Herzegovina within the framework of a Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM), were shared.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Erçetin’s participation in this distinguished international event contributed to our University’s internationalisation efforts, interdisciplinary research capacity, and expanding academic collaboration networks across Europe.
